The photos from Summer Camp are up on the site. We went to Hesley Wood campsite, near Sheffield. The theme of the camp was Cowboys and Indians. The lads who went did a variety of activities including canoing, archery and swimming (at Ponds Forge).

After the 90 years of Cub Scouting fun day at Linnet Clough last year, I edited together a video. We showed the video to those who went to Summer Camp at Barnswood. I’ve finally got round to uploading the video to the website. [youtube 0ZtAoSMfHvc]
Tonight was a joint activity with Marple Explorers. Food and Fireworks were provided thanks to Andrew Hayman (former Bradshaw Leader!).

This year’s summer camp was at Barnswood near the Rudyard Reservoir. The theme for the camp was The Jungle Book. The weather was fantastic, and a good time was had by all. The lads were able to complete three badges during the weekend, the Outdoor Challenge, the Communicator badge, and the Camper badge.

This year marks 90 years of Cub Scouting. To celebrate, Marple organised a fun day at Linnet Clough for all Cubs to attend. There was a wide range of activities on offer, including Archery, Bouldering, Shooting, Bouncey Castle, etc, etc. It was all wrapped up with a Camp Fire at the end. UPDATE – I’ve [...]
